Teaching Philosophy
I believe that accounting education should go beyond technical skills to help students understand the broader social, political, and economic context in which accounting operates. Through AKOUNT, my virtual business simulation platform, I work to make accounting concepts accessible and engaging by allowing students to learn through hands-on experience.
My courses emphasize critical thinking, ethical decision-making, and the ability to use accounting information strategically. I encourage students to question assumptions, explore alternative perspectives, and understand how accounting shapes organizational and societal outcomes.
